Relationships
Michael George Spielman
I pray that I would never treat my human relationships as if they were somehow my right. Rather, may I acknowledge that I am ultimately unworthy of every friendship which the Lord has given. I don't deserve them, wretched sinner that I am, but God being rich in mercy has blessed me with them just the same. Oh, what a thousand future conflicts in marriage could be avoided if I can just view my wife as an astounding privilege rather than a personal right. If I can exist for her rather than expecting her to live for me. Lord, help me see the prize of every relationship, to cherish instead of demand. I want to love for what I can give, not what I can get.
